
“National Fajita Day” has arrived today, August 18
th and we, like always, want you to have something to eat to celebrate. Boca Grove’s Executive Chef Dominick Laudia has shared his “Beef Fajita Flatbread Pizza” recipe so we can enjoy the celebration in a tasty way.
For the Flatbread:
8 oz. Skirt Steak
1 oz. Fajita Seasoning
½ cup Peppers, Sautéed
½ cup Onions, Sautéed
6 each Flatbread Pizza Crust
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 each Avocado, Sliced
2 oz. Sour Cream
2 tbsp. Cilantro, Chopped Fine
Method:
Season skirt steak with fajita seasoning.
Cook on a charcoal grill until medium rare.
Bake flatbread crust in a 350-degree oven until crisp.
Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and allow it to melt.
Slick the steak into thin strips.
Top the pizza with steak, onions and peppers.
Garnish with avocado, sour cream and cilantro.
Enjoy your fajita and pizza in one perfect bite.
