Grilled Cheese isn’t your regular generic white bread and American cheese anymore. Celebrate “National Grilled Cheese Day” with a “Kitchen Sink Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich” from Boca Grove’s Executive Chef Dominick Laudia. This sandwich will make your Italian grandmother proud (even if you don’t have one)!
For the Sandwich:
2 each Ciabatta Bread, 5 – 6 inches long
1 cup Pizza Sauce
8 each Sliced Pepperoni
8 each Sliced Genoa Salami
8 each Sliced Provolone Cheese
6 each Sliced Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
6 each Sliced Black Olives
1 each Whole Roasted Red Pepper, Cut in Half
½ cup Fresh Basil
1 each Italian Sausage Link, 4 oz., Cooked and Sliced
½ cup Pesto Sauce
Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
Spread pesto and pizza sauce on the top half.
On the bottom half layer in this order: provolone cheese, mozzarella cheese, salami, red pepper, basil, pepperoni, olives and sausage.
Warm on a griddle top until the cheese melts and the insides are warm.
Serve with garlic butter parmesan fries or fries of your choice.
Your grilled cheese just hit a “Mamma Mia!” level of yumminess.
