Chocolate Mousse Day is Here!

Did you know that April 3rd is “National Chocolate Mousse Day”? Well, now you do and it would be wrong to leave your mouth watering without giving you a recipe, right? Here is a delicious chocolate mousse recipe from www.marthastewart.com to make sure you have this sweet treat today.
 
For the Chocolate Mousse:
4 each                   Large Egg Yolks
4 tbsp.                  Sugar
2 cups                   Heavy Cream
8 oz.                      Bittersweet Chocolate, Melted
1 tsp.                     Vanilla Extract
 
Method:
In a medium saucepan, whisk together egg yolks, 2 tbsp. sugar, and ¾ cups of the heavy cream.
Cook over medium-low heat, stirring, until mixture coats the back of a spoon, 3 to 4 minutes (do not boil).
Remove from the heat; whisk in melted chocolate and vanilla.
Strain into a bowl; chill until cool.
With an electric mixer, beat remaining 1 ¼ cups of the heavy cream with the remaining 2 tbsp. of sugar until stiff peaks form.
Stir 1/3 of whipped cream into cooled custard mixture, then gently fold in the rest with a rubber spatula.
Spoon into serving dishes.
Chill, covered for at least 30 minutes and up to 3 days.
Bring to room temperature before serving.   
 
Have the mousse on its own or get some of your favorite fruits to dip in it.
