January 20 - For those of us who love cheese, everyday should be “National Cheese Lovers Day”. However, it only comes once a year on January 20th
, so here is a dish for brunch that has a side of cheese (and some wine). Boca Grove Executive Chef Dominick Laudia has provided us with the “Brunch Cheese Bacon Egg and Cheese with Bloody Mary Sauce” that is perfectly paired with a 2013 Vondeling Babiana, South African white wine. This is a dish for four of braised bacon on Bloody Mary sauce with a fried egg sunny side up, Boursin cheese and warm brie toast with a nice glass of “vin blanc”. Now who said cheese, wine, bacon and Bloody Marys don’t go together? No one I know.
