A Fall Sangria

It is #WineWednesday and “National Vodka Day” today, so let’s put both adult beverages together to give you something wonderful to quench your thirst. After scouring the web, I found a delicious sounding “Apple Pie Sangria” to do the job from yummly.com by www.cookierookie.com.

For the Apple Pie Sangria:
2 bottles               White Wine (Riesling, Moscato or Pinot Grigio)
5 cups                   Apple Cider
2 cups                   Ginger Ale
1 cup                     Caramel Vodka
4 each                   Honeycrisp Apples, Chopped
3 each                   Pears, Chopped
2 each                   Cinnamon Sticks

Method:
Cut the fruit and place in the bottom of the pitcher.
Combine the wine, apple, cider and vodka.
Stir and stir some more.
Let it sit for 1 to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
About 1 hour before you serve, add the cinnamon sticks.
Stir some more.
Mix in the ginger ale before serving.
Serve over ice.
Garnish with fruits and cinnamon sticks.

Apple pie never tasted so good in liquid form. Drink up to Fall!
