In 2017, Brett Kurtz joined Boca Grove with 36 years of experience on the courts with extensive knowledge in coaching all levels of play. Brett's a USPTA Certified Elite Professional and has USTA degrees in High Performance Coaching and in 10 and Under Coaching. He has worked as the Director of Tennis at Woodmont Country Club and Indian Spring Country Club where he coached men and women's team and ran all levels of the junior and adult programs. He has also shared his talent with the Harold Solomon International Tennis Institute, as well as Pine Crest School as the Varisty Girls Coach where he helped lead them to three District Championship titles, and the 2013 Regional Champions. In 2013, Brett was named the High School Coach of the Year by the Miami Herald and the Sun Sentinel. Brett has been chosen for the last 9 years by the USTA Florida Junior Tennis Council to coach the traveling team of the best 14-year-old boys and girls in the state. You can also catch him singing in his band.
Born in Minsk, Belarus, Anya has been playing tennis for more than 15 years. Awarded the title of the Candidate for Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus. Anya played various Tennis Europe and ITF tournaments and got international rankings. Moved to United States to play college tennis at D2 school. Some of her tennis achievements include Rookie of the Year, Freshman of the Year, First Team All-Conference 2018 and Conference Championships. As an undergrad, she helped with training at tennis summer camps and tennis clinics. Anya relocated to Boca Raton after graduating from Anderson University (SC) in 2021. Anya is USPTA Certified Tennis Instructor.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Aaron Bristol lived in several states including, New York, Connecticut, and Topeka, Kansas. At age 6, Aaron was introduced to tennis while living on a farm with a private tennis court. However, it wasn't until his 16th birthday that his interest would turn into a passion for the sport.
He attended tennis camps at Duke University in North Carolina, discovering the importance of quality instruction, mentors, and coaches. Upon relocating to Boca Raton, Florida, in 1984, Aaron trained with renowned instructor CW Lewis and played key team matches for the Oaks of Boca Raton.
In 2016 he was introduced to the game of Pickleball by Raul Trevieso. Aaron is now a certified coach by the Professional Pickleball Registry and currently offers private lessons in Boca. Aaron's passion for the game of Pickleball is the foundation of his enthusiasm and patience to instruct as he looks forward to introducing the sport to newcomers.
Nick, originally from Novi Sad, Serbia, embodies a lifelong commitment to passion and dedication. His journey began with gymnastics at four, transitioning to tennis at six, where he swiftly excelled with a proficient one-handed backhand. By age eight, Nick was immersed in competitive tournaments, laying the foundation for a career marked by resilience and perseverance.
At seventeen, he assumed a pivotal role as a hitting partner and traveling professional for WTA players, gaining invaluable insights into elite-level competition. Graduating from the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, specializing in tennis, Nick's academic pursuits paralleled his athletic achievements.
Certified by both the ITF and USPTA, Nick seamlessly transitioned into coaching, managing clubs in Serbia before relocating to Sweden in 2009 and then Florida in 2014. Beyond tennis, he finds joy in pool, literature, travel, sport bikes, and music. Guided by principles of passion and determination, Nick empowers aspiring players to excel both on the court and in life.
